hiera-eyaml software package provides OpenSSL Encryption backend for Hiera, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hiera-eyaml
hiera-eyaml is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hiera-eyaml package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hiera-eyaml *
You will get with hiera-eyaml package name, version, architecture and description in a table
